The duet endures within a formalist framework while addressing intersecting social issues about female-ness, body-as-machine, humanity, and risk. A goal is to challenge our physical edges by collaborating with an unwieldy platform: conquering something greater than ourselves, and achieving mastery of an object that simultaneously confines us. A triumvirate of two women and one heavy platform, the work addresses edges, boundaries, and burdening loads.
